SpineClock

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 23 September 2026. Last updated: 23 September 2026.

This Privacy Policy explains how SpineClock (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the SpineClock Android app. The operator is Samyak Singh. Contact: streamerx047@gmail.com.

SpineClock is a workday break timer. It reminds you to stand and walk. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose, treat, or monitor a health condition.

1. You can use the timer without an account

The core timer, step check, short resets, streaks, expedition trail, and badges work on your phone. You do not have to create an account. If you never sign in, your settings and progress stay on the device.

2. Information we collect

Account information (only if you sign in)

You can sign in with email and password or with Google. You can also start as a guest and later link that session to an account.

Google Sign-In is handled by Google. We receive an ID token so we can create or link your Firebase account. We do not receive your Google password.

Progress and settings (only if you have a cloud identity)

When you are signed in, or when a guest session is given a cloud identity so progress can sync, we store a backup in Google Cloud Firestore at a document tied to your user ID. That backup can include:

The file path of a custom alarm sound is stripped before settings are saved to the cloud. The audio file itself stays on the phone.

Information that stays on your device

Purchases

SpineClock Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Available products are a monthly subscription (monthly), a yearly subscription (yearly), and a one-time lifetime purchase (lifetime). The entitlement name is “SpineClock Pro”.

We use RevenueCat to read whether your Play purchase is active. RevenueCat and Google may process your Play account identifiers and purchase history so we can unlock Pro, restore purchases, and handle billing. We do not store your full payment card number. Google processes payment.

Technical data needed to run the app

The app uses the internet to sign in, sync progress, and check purchases. Android may also send standard device and network information to Google Firebase and Google Play as part of those services.

We do not use a separate advertising SDK. We do not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics in the current app.

Sharing from the app

If you choose to share a badge or other content to another app (for example a messaging or social app), that share is started by you. The other app’s privacy policy then applies to what you send.

3. Permissions the app may ask for

You can refuse a permission. Some features will not work without it. The timer can still run without calendar access and without an account.

4. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to show third-party ads. We do not use calendar contents or step data to advertise to you.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with the services that make the app work:

Those companies process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell lists of users to advertisers or data brokers.

We may disclose information if required by law, or if needed to protect the app, users, or our legal rights.

7. How to delete your account and data

How to request deletion

Data handled upon deletion

8. Your choices

If you are in a region that grants access, correction, or deletion rights, email us and we will handle the request for data we control.

9. Children

SpineClock is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

10. International processing

Firebase, Google Play, and RevenueCat may process data on servers outside your country, including the United States. If you use an account or make a purchase, you understand that this transfer is needed to provide the service.

11. Health and fitness

The app counts steps and completed movement breaks so the alarm can dismiss and so you can see streaks and badges. That is a reminder and a record of activity inside the app. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a health-care service. Do not rely on SpineClock for a medical decision.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy. Material changes will be posted on this page.
